Embodied Sound / Architecture — 2023—
SOMA
Sound for the body that remembers. Brutalism, breath, and the architecture of feeling.

Manifesto — On SOMA
SOMA begins with a question the rest of the universe takes for granted: where does the body end and the room begin?
Recorded inside cooling-tower stairwells, post-war chapels, and the bare concrete shells of unfinished apartment blocks, SOMA treats architecture as instrument. The reverb is not a plug-in. The reverb is the city. The body listening is part of the composition.
Where Syntax of Paradox lives behind masks, SOMA refuses them. There is skin here. Breath. The small involuntary sound a chest makes before a sentence. The project's interest is interoceptive — the slow, often illegible weather of feeling — and its sound design is built to be felt before it is parsed.
These are not ambient records. They are rooms you stand inside.
“The body is the only room we cannot leave. Tune it carefully.”

Press Description
SOMA is an embodied sound project recorded inside the brutalist interior — stairwells, chapels, abandoned civic spaces — using architecture as instrument. The work sits between contemporary classical, drone and somatic practice, treating the listening body as the final piece of the composition.
